
The Borough of Conshohocken is seeking a Full-Time Parking Enforcement Supervisor for the Borough of Conshohocken Police Department.
Job Purpose:
The Parking Enforcement Supervisor manages the daily operations of Parking Enforcement Officers (PEOs), ensuring the effective enforcement of parking regulations in Conshohocken. This role involves supervising staff, evaluating performance, providing training, and handling public concerns to maintain a positive parking experience.
Key Responsibilities:
The Parking Enforcement Supervisor oversees daily operations and parking enforcement personnel, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. They are responsible for enforcing state and local parking laws and monitoring staff performance, providing feedback and support as needed. The role includes maintaining reports on staffing, scheduling, and operational efficiency, as well as handling administrative tasks such as answering calls, greeting visitors, and processing payments. The supervisor also manages parking permits, abandoned vehicle processing, and the proper operation of parking equipment. Additionally, they address public inquiries and parking-related issues, assist with budget planning, evaluate parking rates, and serve as a liaison with parking garage partners and parking companies. The supervisor supports special events and helps with the expansion of Park Mobile.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of relevant experience (customer service or municipal experience preferred). A solid knowledge of parking regulations, enforcement policies, and automated systems is essential. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills are required, along with proficiency in office equipment and parking technology.
Working Conditions:
This position involves both office and fieldwork, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. The supervisor must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and should be capable of walking long distances and standing for extended periods.
